Article Shrimp Industry Issues and Options - Public Meeting Schedule The National Marine Fisheries Service will be holding a series of industry/public briefings, and will be seeking comment on the draft paper. The media is invited to attend any of the industry/public briefings. A schedule of the meetings is listed below: What: Series of industry and public briefings on shrimp industry analysis and options paper When/Where: Monday, August 23, 2004 Dr. William T. Hogarth, director of NOAA Fisheries, will give a brief overview of the document. Dr. John Ward, a NOAA Fisheries economist, will then lead a presentation of the elements of the paper by many of the paper's independent authors. Discussions of the options will be held and comments taken for the balance of the meeting. When/Where: Wednesday, August 25, 2004 Dr. Hogarth, Dr. Roy Crabtree - Southeast regional administrator, and Dr. Ward will review the contents of the document with attendees. Discussions of the options will be held and comments taken for the balance of the meeting. When/Where: Friday, August 27, 2004 Dr. Crabtree and Dr. Ward will review the contents of the document with attendees. Discussions of the options will be held and comments taken for the balance of the meeting. When/Where: Saturday, August 28, 2004 Dr. Hogarth and Dr. Ward will review the contents of the document with attendees. Discussions of the options will be held and comments taken for the balance of the meeting.
