Membership

There are four types of membership to the American Seafood Distributors Association:

Associate Member is any trade association whose interests are determined by the Board of Directors to be in keeping with the mission and goals of ASDA, and who benefits directly or indirectly from importation and distribution of seafood in the United States.

Associate members receive regular updates and invitations to ASDA events.

Regular Member is any person or business actively engaged for at least six (6) months in the importation of seafood, in the buying and selling of imported seafood products, in the export of seafood products to the United States, or in the business of brokering, manufacturing, distributing, retailing, or operating restaurants that rely upon imported seafood, and whose interests are determined by the Board of Directors to be in keeping with the mission and goals of ASDA.

Regular members receive regular updates, invitations to ASDA events, and have access to key contacts within the ASDA organization.

Business Member is any person or business whose interests are determined by the Board of Directors to be in keeping with the mission and goals of ASDA, and who benefits directly or indirectly from the importation and distribution of seafood in the United States.

Business members receive regular updates, participate in ASDA conference calls, vote on issues affecting the ASDA organization, are contacted for feedback on industry issues and input and have access to key contacts within the ASDA organization.

Charter Member is any person or business whose interests are determined by the Board of Directors to be in keeping with the mission and goals of ASDA, and who benefits directly or indirectly from the importation and distribution of seafood in the United States.

Charter members receive regular updates, participate in ASDA conference calls, vote on issues affecting the ASDA organization, and are contacted for feedback on industry issues and input. Charter members are also encouraged to provide regular input on ASDA issues and communication, are key decision makers within the ASDA organization and have direct access to all ASDA Board members and staff.
